Alright this dude Chris convinced me to scour the inland empire to find a Pet smart kamafa and after a few hours of riding I found and bought one. 7 bucks and change for the fish which was in a tank with Flowerhorns they were selling for the same price. Pictures are below some in tank shots up tomorrow. Can't wait to see how these turn out.

got this pic just a second ago while feeding my guy. he already has some red showing up on the fins with some pearling. really psyched to see how all these guys in this thread turn out!

also, seeing as these are FH's, if we were to have bought these as labeled kamfas from a lfs, what do you guys estimate the price being?

I didn't have a chance to talk to the people I know, but I got a glance at the list and it shipped from Florida.

That actually makes sense now, I have been working on the theory that they had been coming from Segrest Farms in Florida. I was pretty sure that Petsmart fish wholesaler shipped to all of them and Segrest is a big enough operation to fit that. Now this whole situation makes complete since, one look at Segrest's lists and they have no clue on what fish have and what they are called.
