Since moving mine into the 75, he perked up a bit more again, although he is still scared easy and throws his bars up fast. I'm hoping he grows out of that soon. Here's a pic from last night.
Just picked him up and was talking to the girl and she said this happens a lot when they first starting getti a new type of fish. The supplier ... Segrest. ... Gives them an attempt at th fish until they finally get it right. So apparently they may eventually be real red Texas
here is an update on my guy. he's housed with two texas cichlids about the same size, he does alright with them but he can be a huge dick when it comes to feeding time. other than that he's pretty mellow. none of my guys have nips so thankfully its not too bad. once i get my 135 set up i'll keep him separated from the other guys to be safe.
