Thing is, I could catch a big flat probably before a big bass. Its starting to get hot here now, going to be in the 90's and feel like 100 over the weekend.

MAN, Those sunfish are so sweet! Too bad, that all we got here in N.B is salmon, trout, and Eels..

I got a small redear sunfish today, also called a shellcracker. I caught it with the net at night using a light. I also had two 10" plus redears but they were too fast. Im going back Sunday during the day to try and catch one or two.

You don't get biggins fishing frogs in those hot months? Think of the time you need to set up the tank etc, you'll get one by then.

I catch some on moss mouse and buzzbaits during the summer but I'm usually fishing for cats more than bass :)
