Hey guys,

just sharing something i acquired recently.. got myself a batch of Geophagus sp. Maicuru & i guess they're considered pretty rare over in singapore. :)

hope to keep a few to adulthood :D

Beautiful. The bisect lateral barring and caudal patter are a unique combo. How many do you have?

Peter do you remember the one I got from Sean we couldn't ID? Strikingly similar if memory serves correct.

I wanted to snap a clearer picture of the bars but was too lazy to wait for them to appear. Was afraid that I got a batch of hybrids but comparing the 12pieces I've gotten.. They all have even bars n tail spottings :)

Could you post that pic? Would love to compare the look of the 2 :).. One other thing to note is that these guys have very yellow pelvic fins!

Wish I had that problem!

I remember there was a fish but I can't remember what it looked like. G. abalios are fairly far away from Para Brazil though.
