Sorry for the title guys I couldnt help myself! The stress barring on these poor Satanoperca mapiritensis I am treating reminds me of a female festae barring. They are going through a round of treatment and are so stressed :( I figured most of you have never seen this species in a stress pattern before so why not post em up and share.

One day soon I'll have the normal happy go lucky unicorn lovin pics of these guys to share.

(for those not familiar with this species they aren't hybrids it was just a joke)

By the Beach!
What are you treating them for? Do all of them have a W stress bar formation between the 3rd and 4th bar? Good luck with them Justin!

Yes they all display this pattern when stressed and only then. I can't be the only one intrigued by patterns rarely seen. I knew you would enjoy seeing them Armand! I am treating for a nasty case of black spot disease. They came in riddled in it. You can see it on the tail in the bottom pic if you look closely.

Round 1 = Bifuran (complete)
Round 2 = Formalin (in progress)
Round 3 = Metro/Prazi (not started and only precautionary)

If this doesn't work I will go the oxolinic acid route but want to avoid that if possible.

theyre looking awesome Justin!! great work getting these guys up to speed.
Thanks bro

I think it's helping but would really appreciate you taking a look. I look at them so often I think you could tell more so than I. You got time tonight?

They don't look happy, otherwise healthy but not happy.

I saw the title and said to myself, WFT is this now? Then I saw it was your post and thought maybe clockwork slipped him some shrooms.................Hmmmmmm that might let me see what an angelfish x umbee hybrid would look like.

Nice! I'm sure we can talk someone into an "angelbee" breeding project. That should be a success
