thank goodness............ Octopus scare me.. but that was some awesome pic. Here i am in front of A10 fuselage so many years ago......

I worked on those in the Air Force. Gulf War 1. You built a very durable plane! Some of them flew back with thousands of holes and missing large chucks of tail. One of the pilots told me after he got shot up and realized he was still flying fine with one engine and only half the hydraulics. He swung back around and dropped both cluster bombs on the morons that tried to take him out. It warms my heart thinking about it….

i am proud to say it turned out to be everything expected and more.. of course i was only one little person compared to the 3,000 + people working on the A10 .. but i can honestly say.. i did all the original wiring on the strut and wheel well and belly and lots of hand holes.,..etc.. i am sure the wiring was redone over and over through the years because the A10 was in service for a long time.. maybe even today.. i have not heard the latest in that regard.. thanks for reply.. this plane could really take a beating.

Liz, that's very cool. I watched an A10 demonstration in 1978 at Ramstine (sp?) in Germany, TDY from Cypress. They were/are great plains. They were deployed with us NATO Forces Europe to kill Soviet tanks if they ever decided to come across the line. So, a very belated thank you!

PS Nice picture.
