this by far is my favorite gulper thread. Im keeping my 5inch gulper with a 6inch striped raphael, no problems........yet
my gulper doesnt seem to mind the raphael or other bottom dwellers for that matter. They usually hang on top of each other huddled together. Now, when a red jewel feeder comes close, that's when my gulper goes nuts with excitement. I was wondering though, would a giant bumblebee cat (pseudopimelodus bufonius) and/or a bumblebee jelly cat (batrochoglanis raninus) now housed temporarily in separate tanks, be safe with the gulper? Considering that both hide as much as the raphael and can get bigger than the raphael which my gulper seems to be friends with. (the giant bbcat is currently 5 inches, the bb jelly is 4)
a tank with these 3 catfishes would look awesome i bet. and that was my original plan since i now have them all. im just afraid of the....you know......"gulper catfish owner's risk" HAHAHAHA
