Yup that's a male and almost certainly a brasiliensis. An easy way to tell is that franciscanus will have yellow on the pelvic girdle but brasiliensis will not. I need to update that sticky, too. x.x

very nice collection of fish. The tors look like they're tor tor or tor putitora, or both in there. Very nice and rare collection of nice fish!
A collection I wouldn't have without you making them available..... Thank you Wes!

Cut Robert loose in the big tank tonight. Had to remove the Frankie Dorado within the first hour, but everyone else seems to be fine together.......

Very nice! What was the issue with the franky, was he beating on Mr. Paulson? I'm digging that barb. Seeing him in the shot with the dorados really puts into perspective how huge it is!

Thanks Rob!

The Frankie that was in the big tank was the passive one. He and Mr Paulson hit it off great about the first half hour, then it turned to Robert pinned on one side of the tank with a tattered tail. IF they were similar sized I would have let it go longer but the Frankie is quite a bit bigger. Robert was screwing with Drogo AND the Odoe hated his constant pacing so that turned into some pretty serious sparring. It seemed like the constant pacing of the Tor annoyed the Odoe as well. I think I've finally reached a balance here in all the tanks, just need to find a home for the Frankie that was in the big tank......

Drogo seems to be doing better. He's swimming like the Aros I've owned in the past now instead of so close to the top his back is sticking out. I'm guessing he hated Robert from day one. The Odoe and Drogo are enjoying peace and quiet in a 6x3 with some rays...... All the non stop swimmers are now in the big tank.

I still can't believe the wolves are playing nice with everything.

That Barb is unreal big. One of these days I'm going to get that thing out for a measurement. I bet it's close to a foot tall and probably 18-20" long.

I wasn't too keen on the Tor either at first, but they're the only thing I've ever seen that can run with Dorado. Watching that group pace the tank will never get old, there's so much activity. My understanding is that in order to keep a group of ATF you're going to need Dithers. I think Tor match what I'm after in a dither better then anything else I've tried. Unfortunately they grow so slow that you really have to plan ahead. These guys should work well with the Tatf once they get big ;)

That Raph is a tank. Biggest one I've ever seen, but in Iowa that doesn't say much lol. I'd guess pushing a foot? I got it from a buddy that found it traded in at a LFS. The thing never hides either lol.
