I had to go to the ER for seasonal influenza a few years ago. I was sick throughout a physically taxing two week intermediate force instructor course and had to be treated for severe dehydration the day after I completed the course. My wife had to call my work to tell them i wouldn't be in because i couldn't stop coughing and was pretty incoherent. Three liters of IV saline solution later I felt alright and I took the next few days off work to recover. My wife makes sure I get my annual flu shot ever since.I have never had a flue shot, not planning on getting one and rarely get sick.

eh., wouldn't seem to match up with the rising percentages of autism.Not really "proof" but a study of 80,000 Danish pregnancies...it's not just flu, it's sustained high fever, of which most common cause is the flu.
