He's looking rather stout must be eating good for you. I shouldn't look at your threads bc it puts thoughts of getting another dorado in my head :)

Btw that looks like a male Texas cichild. Tough guy but a bit over matched in your tank.

I hate that fish. I'm glad I at least know what it is now, but he's an un wanted little prick that keeps picking at my fish. He came from my mom after he offed most of her tank. I had nowhere to put him when I was doing my filter rebuild so I just tossed him in the tank. BAD idea. It took me almost 2 months and finally recruiting help before I could catch him (just this week finally). I actually watched this little guy lock lips with the mean Frankie Dorado. Turns out he tried to bite a little more then he could chew but his testicular fortitude is very impressive for his size. After seeing that I thought the Wolves would off him when I tossed him in the 750, but he actually shared the driftwood with the Aimara. He's no longer pecking at the Masheer in the big tank, but rather kicking it with the male rays, knife, and mean Dorado in the tank I call the meat locker (all the males) a 180 that's used for male time outs tied to the 750.

Robert just started eating like mad again. His appetite seemed to taper off a bunch prior to being moved. I think all the Masheer and him crammed in a 6x3 with a huge driftwood centerpiece in a tank that's only 20" tall was the cause, he just didn't seem too happy not being able to stretch out.

You know Kevin, I have an extra Dorado. One of my Frankies was just fine with all the fish in the 750 except Robert, the other Frankie is a terror, but I'm hanging on to the mean one. The other needs a new home. IF we could figure out logistics I'd give him to you for nothing IF you really decided you wanted another..... ;)

Don't say things like that Alan. I'll get tempted into taking him and he'll terrorize my gatf and odoes. It would be a sweet combo if I could make it work but.......

Did someone eat his adipose fin?
Rob, you just blew my mind.

He's had that scar there since I got him. It's always looked a little funny, and it's not till today I understand why.

The adipose has never been there. I can't believe I never noticed this...... :(

Just went back to the first pics I took of him and looked, sure enough..... No fin.

Guess he's really one of a kind. Kind of sad though..... But it is fitting. Robert Paulsen was missing a key part of his manhood..... Maybe my Robert grew so quick and is kind of chubby now cause maybe the adipose fin is responsible for making the decision that his belly is full??
