Thanks for the info. First time I hear this. So much goes on around the globe. Has anyone ever started a thread on these or posted pictures and had confirmed ID? I am bewildered that I've never seen or heard of one here (yet?). Fugupuff said something about several Pangasiid hybrids existing but never specified AFAIK.

Would be nice if someone posted a pic of those "hybrids"

Some part of me doubts that those are Pangasianodon gigas .... I'd put more money on Pangasius Sutchi.

I thought I'd add for clarity that this is a junior synonym for Pangasianodon hypophthalmus aka IDS or iridescent shark catfish http://www.planetcatfish.com/common/species.php?species_id=172

Im 100 sure these are gigas now.
The head shape is completely different from those of a id....i would proove it but the app wont let me upload pics.....

I got one awhile back, and no one can ID it too.

Was believed to be a MGC, but some said it's just an ID mix or just a malnourished ID. Unfortunately, it passed away

Looks like a mgc to me
Look at the shape of the mouth and the position of the eyes
