I like that list RockyMountainCichlids & video you have to support it. Although we know that there is always different circumstances that could change that list, I think in general, you list is valid. I have owned every Cichlid that you have mentioned at some point of my cichlid keeping, in my experience I could change some of the order, but your list is in the ball park...

Grammodes & 5 Spot Jewels are Maniacts, just flat out crazy... Neets are crazy to... In my opinion it is hard to rate Haitiensis or Beani, because the are susceptible to bloat. Butukufri can be crazy to... A mature Umbee can be a killer as well... Of course we all know what a matue Dovii can do.
:) Yeah! I'd definitely put Neets above convicts.! Hey man, share your list if you can :) after all, this is a discussion :D

I feel like I could drop the haitiensis a couple notches down, but man! Female Haitiensis are vicious, if I could give an example of my old female BN. . . think of a overprotective female convict guarding fry on steroids. It was unbelievable, but in general I feel like Motaguense and Red Devils can suppress Haitiensis.

Atromaculatums in my opinion aggression is like your average cichlids & Ornatum aggression compares to Festae.

I'm sure you all are familiar with cichlid-forum/species profiles.

Well, they rate each individual cichlid from levels of aggression. So far, I see levels from "peaceful, mildly aggressive, aggressive, highly aggressive, and extremely aggressive".
They rated beani "aggressive" with temperament and "highly aggressive" with conspecific temperament. While Haitiensis & Grammodes are "highly aggressive" in temperament and "extremely aggressive" with conspecific temperament.

Beani's profile: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=14
Haitiensis profile: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=2
Grammodes profile: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=20

If you'd like to search other cichlid profiles, here is their search link: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/index.php

I know what you mean about the female BN, I had a female BN, a male Beani, a male Grammodes, a female Festae, a male Motaguense & a male Escondido in a 360 gallon tank, it was crazy. The black nasty had one side of the tank & the Beani had the other side, all the other cichlids where in the middle of the tank. The tank was well Aquascaped they all had there territories, no Cichlid was damaged. They were about 3 to 4 inches.

After about 6 months my Black Nasty & Beani bloated. I tried to treat them in another tank, but it didn't work, so yes I know what you mean about a female Black Nasty... That is why I have a hard time rating them because if the get stresses the will most often bloat.

I think the black convict belongs on that list. The only thing they don't have going for them is their size.

I don't agree. They can be aggressive, especially when breeding, but are nothing compared to the fish on that list. I would rate Texas cichlids much more aggressive than cons.
