I am looking to sell my colony of F1 mpimbwe frontosa and others.
Here is a list of the fish and approx size:
Two 10" plus males (frontosa)
One 9" plus male(frontosa)
One 6" male (frontosa)
Six 5"-7" females(frontosa)
10- 2"-4" orange lulepi
3- 4" syndodonis cats
2- 3" gold calvus
1- 1.75" black calvus
2- 4" sunshine peacocks (males)
1- 7" red borleyi (male)
20 or more 1"-3" brichardi500.JPG457.JPG463.JPG212.JPG467.JPG202.JPG
1- 4" tropheus duboise
1- 3.5" red tropheus moori

Also have a 55 gallon glass corner tank and stand with heater, acrylic lid, 60 lbs cichlid black and white sand, 100lbs lava rock. $125.00.

Would like to sell entire fish stock to someone with large enough tank to house these fish.
Willing to sell all stock for $700.00
I am converting my 240 to saltwater so really dont want to split the fish but ill consider if offer is right.
Ill even throw in the 55 gallon setup for nothing if that gets all my fish a new home.
I will also include over 150 lbs of lace rock from my 240 that ill throw in as well as I will be purchasing live rock and dont need this rock.

If interested please PM me with your number and Ill give you a call.
Honestly Im hesitant getting rid of these guys so I really stress you need to have a tank of at least 180 gallon and 6 feet of length to properly house these fish. Preferably an 8' tank which they are in now as they all get along quite well.

Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, tried to PM you but I don't think you have enough forum posts to accept PM's.

Also what's your location?

How can you guys tell that they are burundi?
I purchased three from blue grass and the rest from a breeder in san diego named Jeremy. Dont know his last name but I was told that all of his frontosa were wild caught mpimbwe. Also one of the three from blue grass died about two years ago. So thats confusing to me as if you think the others are mpimbwe then i can only have two burundi if any at all?
Not saying you are wrong just curious how you can tell. Again im no expert but dont see how i can have three burundi as i went to Jeremys house and bought them when they were only 1" fry. Guess its possible he had different fry in the same tank but im not sure.
Thanks for your comments though.

Jeff, Burundi Frontosas are the easiest ones to distinguish.... This variant will always have a very pronounced nuchal hump compared to all other Cyphotilapia Frontosas/Gibberosas. Burundis have a vertical stripe that goes over the nuchal hump, thru the eye and gill plate and to the jaw. Mpimbwes on the other had will have a stripe that wraps across the head, a "mask" that wraps across the front of their face and down the gill plate. The colors between the two alway varies quiet a bit... Mainly because of the many years of inbreeding and years of captive breeding of the Burundis.

Wild Caught Mpimbwes are still being brought in regularly, Burundis on the other hand were not brought in as Wild Caught for quiet a while as they're not as desirable and the market was better for Tanzanian and Zaires. When you start comparing Zaires, it gets a lot more complicated but a Burundi Frontosa is easily identifiable. I would have PM'd you this info but your acct. still doesn't allow for messages.
