I have searched and searched for hours today in search of a photo I found here on MFK awhile back. A member had a Green Terror tank with a bunch of silver mollies in it. Does anyone know who I am referring to, or happen to have the picture? I'd like to know (first hand) how that worked out long term, and not just assumptions made with no experience. Thanks in advance ~!

My experience is that GT's destroy everything not large enough to stand up to them, and I'm willing to bet that would be the case for most GT owners.

Saying that, its not like you don't get mellow fish from time to time; could be that the poster who put up that picture got very lucky with GT temperament.

Be cool to see the pic though

Mollies are brackish water fish if I remember correctly. However a gt with non cichlid tankmates it can't eat could possibly work. I keep my istlanums with dithers with no problem except a few chases.

Well it's not with mollies but page 10/11 of the thread "what's your favorite" has a stunning stalsbergi with some dither fish.

Back when I still had a 55G planted tank (see below), I briefly kept an F1 Gold Saum in the tank with numerous Mollies, Rainbows, and other dithers. The male GT was around 5" and completely ignored the smaller fish. Granted, there were a lot of plants and overhead cover for all the inhabitants. Bottom line, this depends on the individual fish. Some GT's truly are terrors, yet others are as harmless as Neon Tetras.

I agree. My old GT was about 6 inches and would relentlessly attack anything with it. Even an Oscar at about 8 inches was forced into a corner.

I personally wouldn't try the combo, but it's possible for it to work.

I got 2 black mollies and in a CT with juvi gts what are same size
they are OK Co exist fine
but it's like humans, as kids we all play together but when gt gets bigger starts getting territorial, attitudes, bullying potential, just my opinion?
