She's definitely small, I think two inches would be exaggerated. Lol What about vitamins? I've seen several post referring to giving larger cichlids vitamins. If you think I should, what kind and how much?

if you are feeding a quality pellet not needed. I do give all my fish a protein treat once a week, its freeze dried jumbo shrimp soaked overnight in Boyds Vita-Chem. I do not know if it really helps or not, but they love it. but pellets need to be the main diet always,. to much protein is not good for them.

as FYI Oscars are very fast growers for first 6 to 7 months. blink and he will be bigger.

Right now I'm using NLS sinking cichlid formula. I want to find a floating pellet that's just as high of quality asap, so it's easier to clean any wasted pellets. I'll look into the vitamins you spoke of, just because it makes me feel more secure know she'll get anything her diet may be lacking. Thanks. Hope I'm not driving you crazy with all my questions.

Bought some Aqueon slow sinking pellets to try out tonight. Looked for floating they had some in the larger pellets, but none in the small. Hopefully these won't make it to the gravel if they're truly slow sinking. I know NLS goes straight to the bottom.
