If you want something less aggressive but an Australian native you could go with a coal grunted or a black bream. Something else really cool and aggressive are jardini and leichardti. Lei aren't as aggressive from what I've heard but grow bigger. A good setup for a six footer for a few years (before the jar or lei grow to big) I reckon would be a Barra, coal grunter or black bream, a toga (lei or jar) and a eel tailed cat. Almost forgot Murray cod, BIG and predatory awesome fish. You could keep one with a toga and a Barra I reckon all three of which are really predatory.
Sounds like a mean tank might go for that

Good choice won't disappoint. Leis and jars are in season around jan about $100. Murray cod all year pretty cheap, Barra pretty cheap also.

Also a good choice, if it's just the jag, Oscar, cls and plecs I reckon get another jag of the opposite sex of the one you have now and or a Midas or something with personality.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I'd only recommend a big fish that is aggressive; if you have previously kept and enjoyed wet pets. In a 6 foot tank, single fish can quickly become boring; especially when it looks like a waste of space when viewing it (even though its needed).

You could still do large fish such as severums, but it would open up a vast number of options to create a community, with corydoras, silver dollars etc; that would be awesome to look at. Just a thought.
