Black wolf fish help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well a 100g with a 20inch or more width is a better choice. 125g is an option but needs to be wide to accommodate a potential 20inch fish turning.

Wouldn't advise agressive or territorial cichlids. I don't know much about cichlids (as I don't like them or keep them) but these are known issues with them. I've seen videos and posting by members with cichlids and wolves together and they just fight till one is killed or the other is stressed to the point of becoming lethargic.

You me asking about the cichlid I'm assuming. Other cichlids would be my guess. Maybe other members can reply. Or need to repost in the cichlid section.

Smaller wolves like moe214 is a better choice for you and ur tank. Plus can add tankmates. Not many but can with a 75g. With a common ull be pushing ur limits.
Didn't know I was a small wolf, jk lol!

Are you talking about a jag or a mota, there's no red tiger jag.. But I've had a success with a jag, motas I've never kept, as jags are kinda the only cichlid that's can keep any of my interest, but I've read they're more sensitive and get picked on easier, this can be a problem depending on the specific wolf. If you can get a 125, you might as well go with a 180 for the extra width, Imo the larger wolves need the 2' width in the long run. Kno4te hit everything spot on. And as for other predatory fish what do you have in mind cause that doesn't narrow anything down much

Thanks for everyone's help. I just joined but I've been reading these threads for years so I thought, why not join? Glad I did you guys are very knowledgable and shoot the truth. You aren't trying to sell me anything so your opinions go a long way. Thanks

I have had my black wolf with an odoe for just about this whole year lol. And I wouldn't put a mota with my black, if it were me at least, because I can see the mota starting something and the black finishing it, where as if you have a nice big male jag, he can take control of a situation usually, if he can't he can atleast hold his own ime. If you can get a 180 that'd be perfect for them. Motas also stay smaller than jags, I can see it working though, just gotta have the right fish.
