What you have is likely mala. Can't really make 100% IDs in tank. But none the less likely mala.

The silver dollars should be ok. As they will get wide and big enough. Keep the mala fed.

A red wolf would be fine in a 55g for life with a very few tankmates.
Thanks, I think I Asked you this before, should I put the odoe in with him? It would just be a bad loss if it didn't work out. I have yet to see the wolf attack anything but the worms and Rosies. I just fear I would come down in the morning with a dead pike. But I think the wolf is growing faster than the pike. Would the pike grown faster in the 75? Would it stick up for itself?

I think the pike and mala will be able to go together. As long as same size but it can always turn out bad. Still the favor is on ur side and can mix the two and try. Will make no difference on growth but would benefit from a tank bigger than 75g. As fully grown they will require a bigger tank. Especially adding SD's as dithers I assume.

Yeah I was told that they could stay in the 75 until 7-8 inches?

I mean the pike will get about 14-18 inches in home aquariums.

The mala can get 20 inches in a home aqaurium. Adding SD can make it a bit cramped.

Plus with a 180g let's say....more tankmates are possible.

In a 75g, the amount of waste will be high. Miss ur wc and u will get problems. The extra space and water in a 180 will give u room if u miss a wc.

Which won't be long now! Is 180 okay or would 125 work
180 is better cause u of the extra width. Standard 125 gets 18 inch width. Tanks with extra width are much better appreciated and is the ideal tank.

Oh I also have 4 silver dollars with the wolf right now. Do they need to go as well? I'm trying to figure out the size difference I want when I add the odoe with the wolf. I thought the odoe would grow faster and he is growing fast but so is the wolf. Should I wait until the odoe gets larger or should I put him in now in case the wolf keeps growing faster
a thin, silvery fish with an ambush predator is most likely a terrible idea unless the odoe is much larger, and in this case that won't be what happens lol. the mala with definitely outgrow the odoe at some point, then its a gamble, especially in a small tank.

So if it's a gamble that starts to turn bad I would need a 180 for each of them? But if I got that rainbow wolf it would get killed by the odoe? W
How big does the rainbow get?

Should I get rid of the silver dollars?
