Gar HELP!

I noticed this on my friends Gar it looks like almost pimples on the gar or do you think its damage from maybe other fish in the tank?
Its currently housed with a red tail x shovelnose and jaguar cichlid.

Looks ;like lymphocystis. Viral infection, you just have to let it run its course.

I would suggest getting more appropriate tankmates for the gar though.

the cichlid probably attack the gar and the wound get infected. separate the gar in a different tank with 85F temperature and add salt, it should heal up in time.
