Kolossus Kolossus That's a top notch marble, which breeder did it came from? Any pics of its parents?
Got these from Mike at CODISCUS a couple years ago. Never saw the parents but spotted the potential on these guys as small pups.

Wow. I feel like the quality of marbles that folks have been able to get their hands on have increased in the last couple years. Stunning rays everyone.

In the younger pup pic, the male is on the bottom and the female is on the top. I will repost the recent pic where the male is on the top and the female is on the bottom. The middle picture, the male is on the bottom and the very next picture gives a back to back show of development as the top Ray is the same male. I must say that having them on dark substrate started to wash out their colors. I played with their environment to get the right sand color, amount, etc. to ensure they maintained the brilliant colors I was looking for.

I might be crazy - always have been about Marbles anyways - But in my opinion the quality is the same as it has been cause it's the same bloodlines producing all these pups. Everyone has these nice CODiscus pups, they're just easier to obtain now then they were in past years. We see a nice CB Marble and immediately know it probably came from one of only a few places - Codiscus, Ed, or Oldfish.

Problem is the gene pool needs to be added to and we need to start keeping them in the proper water so that they live as long as they're supposed to instead of adults turning ugly and dying prematurely. (At least in my case anyways)

As long as we work together on the gene pool and strive for ideal water conditions I see no reason why we can't start to produce Marbles that can hold a candle to Richards. He's several generations deep already. We need to catch up - the more generations deep we get the better the quality is going to get.

I'm all about diversification. My female is wc but my male is cb. He came from MBU originally. If anyone wants to trade female pups with me to diversify their own group lmk mine are on the small side. Female is only 12" male is 10". I would like to stay with the smaller "mini" size as its easier to manage for me at this time.

This is what I'm talking about - MBU's male was Pat (Amazon Stingray's) old breeder. Bet that ray fathered more pups then any male Marble over here. I bet a lot of CB Marbles can be traced back to that rays genes.....

I'd be willing to do some swapping in the future but I have to get some stock built up here first.......
