This is actually a serious suggestion.. If you live close enough to the ocean to pump in sea water, why not build something like this.. There used to be an attraction in the Bahammas called Coral world. It had a bridge to a tower out in the ocean, where they made an artificial reef that got populated by local sea life. It was amazing, and no water changes, chilling, etc.. All you'd have to do is maintain the structure.. Attaching a picture. There was a viewing room underwater.

I did consider this however:
there is no natural protection of the structure for weather
Content to build on the sea bed would be a nightmare
I've considered a boat type structure but the extra effort and costs would be crazy let alone sea sickness rising tides flotation ballast size of structure
Wildlife control and the damage that can be caused by feeding the wildlife
It would potentially tripple the cost of the build
It would most likely have to become a educational attraction not just a private tank
Atho I don't mind some of those drawbacks I know my wife would make that a no at this stage
Very cool that someone else has done it tho

I agree with llawis on that, there's just no way. And the man's wife is already letting him build a 75,000 gallon tank, let's not push it :D

I personally have no idea what the grout/silicone combo is, but I would contact them about it, they probably would not mind telling you.

I donno it seems to me that once you go above a size it all becomes a trade secret so I think I might have better luck with curators and people like that
