Yes at 32 degrees it does become ice. What are you talking about? Your saying every fish in the great lakes will die in winter? Its gets way colder than that. Its the surface that gets ice maybe 8-12 inches thick at times. Not the whole lake. If this was true what your saying there will be no fish in Chicago. NONE what so ever. No ponds no rivers none in lake michigan...then the answer is none. at 32 the water becomes ice, and so do the fish, then they die.
Who doesn't like sunfish? They're awesome, colorful, intelligent fish. (Smarter than any cichlids, sshhh, don't like the tropical nuts hear, that sentence bugs the heck out of them LOL ).sun fish look like the fish I catch all time when I go fishing . as well as blue gills. I don't really like those kind of fish in aquariums or ponds. I don't see them as pet fish rather food lol
I used to catch these chop them up and feed these to my piranha all the time! Good and free food. I can catch like 100 in a few minutes. LOLWho doesn't like sunfish? I prefer gizzard shad or carp for that purpose, but anything works. My Yellow Bullhead loves pieces of Steelhead!I used to catch these chop them up and feed these to my piranha all the time! Good and free food. I can catch like 100 in a few minutes. LOL
Yellow Perch too! Any of the "panfish" taste great cooked right. Not just for piranhas; My favorite freshwater fish for a fish fry.
