Why dont the mollys just swim out of the tank?
They probably will eventually but not right away and the fact he is feeding the pacu pets and not feeder fish is great. My lfs has tad poles and you should have seen his face when i first told him i fed them to my golden wolf fish priceless!

There was a customer at a LFS in NC that would come in once a month and buy a big bag of the blue/green chromis. I finally got the nerve to ask him why he kept buying so many (He bought like 2-3 dozen each month.) He giggled and said "They are feeders for my X salt water fish." I do not recall what fish he said it was. Them be expensive feeders. He did however say that they where in the tank so the X fish wouldn't pester his tank mates. It would just kill/eat a chromis when it got fussy.

My personal experience with fish food was when I was at the local deli buying fish fillets and what nots to make fish food and the lady said that I must really love sea food. I told her I never eat the stuff, but my fish love it. Her faced looked like she might as well have seen a ghost.

I'm setting up a 300 gallon pond in the front yard currently, totally doing this. I wonder how heavy it would be to get a 55gal up? 8lbs per gallon @55=440lbs. 6" under the water line, probably about 375lbs. I'll need a few people. The look on my mailman's face, priceless. Lol

You do know how this is done right?

You set up an empty tank upside down into the water and vacuum out the air.
