These 3 cats (excluding the big silver one which came in as such as well) all came in as "Mekong Giant Cats" at different batches.

The first one (beat up from transport) looks more of a irshark.
The second one resembles the MGC idea on my mind. No whiskers, downturned eyes, with a different tail.
The last one is my old "MGC" which could aslo very well be a IRshark.

I was too excited so i snapped videos before the water was clear again. Hence, i dont feel the video did justice. When the 2 guys came in, we were of the notion that ALL OF THEM we're IRsharks or some pangasius but not pangasianodon. However, upon seeing the 3 of them swimming together, we realized that non of them looked the same (Body shape, head shape, mouth and eye orientation, tail etc)

I've rested my case to get a proper ID, so this is more of just sharing:) I'm happy to have them, whatever they are:p

Here's the BIG pangasius (possibly irshark from planet cat) but also possibly a bocourti (from here years ago)
just leaving this here because he came in as an "MGC" as well.

I think Bob has a source for farm raised Mekong Giants.A lot of the pangasius cats are farmed.
isn't it illegal to own, remove or kill a MGC?
As per Quian Hu (Singapore Farm, who helped with river safari in obtaining mekong cats from thailand) the only way to take them out of thailand legally is through the breeding programs. But like a lot of breeding programs in there, its a hit or miss if the fish is really what they say they are.
