Hello
I've got a 4-5in green phantom pleco who is now by himself due to the passing of my peacock bass :(. I have a 55g and a 20g long and want to put the pleco in one of them with other fish along with him. I want something cool and unique. I like planted tanks but down want to get anything to expensive/high tech. I want a diverse group of species or some unique stuff. I like both inverts and other verts. Thanks so much

I'd prefer something really cool looking or a variety. Or some ferocious fish...

Something that will attack live or dead food but will leave my pleco alone. Exodons are cool but I find them visually unappealing

Eels, Poly's, Oscars, and Larger SA/CA Cichlids.
I had a half banded spiny eel and I loved it. It was roaming the tank at least half of the time and it was always stalking/wandering about the other fish. They only get to 8", and they won't eat anything bigger than a guppy, but I loved the personality, especially for an eel. It also never buried in the sand.20160202_075517 (1).jpg 20160202_075524.jpg

Pretty cool. What else would be cool and unique to go with an eel and L200. Not too fond of cichlids for some reason, been there done that kinda way. What's are some aggressive schooling fish or something else really cool.

Angels are semi aggressive and get aggressive at breeding. Bala sharks school, and they look like sharks, but they get to 14". They also school. Cories also school. A Senegalus Poly would also work. You may also want to look into a knifefish that doesn't grow that large. (African Knife)

Make sure if you get an eel it looks like the one in the pic. You want one with that personality.
