If I were to take the algae from a scrubber on another tank and scrape it off into a tropheus tank would they eat it?

I may have missed it, but, will a 3x20 screen at 60sqin, at 100 gph perform OK or would a 6x10 screen at 200 gph perform better. With equal light.
Is flow as important as contact time?
Thanks

First thank you for all your info, I am grateful.
I had to tweek a few things. I have room for a better set up, I just need more money and time.
After setting up two 75 gallon x 55 sumps, drums. I am about ready for a non plumbing day.

I set this up after 2 hours of trying to fit a pic pipe. This is plan C.
OK it's 49 sqin, single sided. The dark side has tin foil hot glued too it, and is completely sealed from water.
My flow is 70 GPH on a 6.5" long x 8"-10" tall sump level varies.
I went with 4" per 35gph since I am flowing on one side.
After much reading I have decided to buy 18 total watts of Led grow lights . Too replace my 27 watt. CFL.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
I am also very interested in a upflow scrubber, as I dedicated most of my free sump space to a 20" deep nursery/hospital tank.

Glad to hear. I was going to say that you need more flow, even for 1-sided, but since it's set up and working you can just keep it as is.

As for lights, maybe you can test some ones that I just made. They are submersible.

And as for upflow, should be simple enough if you have the depth.
I have a 10 watt 660 nm with some 460nm. It is too focused to use in the sump. From what I read.
It is crudely mounted on my top tank, just to see what grows. It is replacing a 40 Led, 3 watt cheapy. That can bearly grow brown algae.
