I am planning to go get a saddled bichir and i wanted to know what is a good organism to go through and "clean" the sand. I also am thinking of getting some live plants for it so i don't want it to harm the plants. Then when the bichir gets bigger i am going to put it into a large tank with my jardini arowana and two datnoids.

Not sure what you mean by "clean". If there is detritus building up on the sand, you need to get better circulation to keep it from settling. As far as things that will stir up the sand, Malaysian trumpet snails and Assassin snails do a good job. Geophagus species will also sift through the top layer of the sand.

I dont have snails, but every morning i take my net and scoop up the waste products that they have, i do feed alot so what i do is i wait till about 40 mins after i put the food and once i notice that they dont touch the food no more, i net it out, basiclly i do the cleaning before and after work, its nice watching them eat tho.

My big hoplo cats keep the pool filter sand turned over really well, they are constantly digging thru it.

Best way to removed left over food is you lol. Do wc's and dont over feed.
I try not to overfeed so I rarely have food leftover. I do see snails attempting to eat food that may sit for a little but the bichirs always end up finishing it all.
I have assason snails in with the smaller polys and they do a good job but wonder how long they would last with bigger fish when they get hungry

They do a great job to stir up the sand looking for food. I had one for years with upper jaws and it worked fine.

Idk if you can keep hoplo cats with an endli saddle or any lower jaw bichirs;)
I had a hoplo in my tank when I kept upper jaws. But I thought a full grown wc endli might easily fit it into its mouth so I rehomed it when I decided to go with lower jaws. Glad I did, my 16" endli still looks to be growing and he is not friendly.
