FX6 for a 200 gallon?

Ive had both fx6 and eheim 2262. The 2262 was far and away better. Moved more water and held way more bio.

I had the fx6 and an ac110 on a 150 gal and felt like the fx didnt move enough water and was kind of skimpy on room for bio. Replaced it with a lone 2262 worked great

id go with 2 canisters for 200g. i use fx5 for my 40g wide tank

Size wise, FX6 is more than enough for a 200g. FX6 are built for 400g, so you have enough filtration, but to be on the safe side, you can have one more means of filtration just in case this fails.

Even though its rated that high i doubt it would be sufficient. Atleast when i had one i didnt think it was anything special maybe it wasa one off

I would run 2 for sure, I have an fx5 on my 75 and 125 and it works great, I was going to run 2 on my 300 before I went with a sump. I am going to run both fx5s on my 125 once I shut down the 75

I have 2 of them running on my 210 gallon.

Good move. I have two fX6s on my 195 and they're good filters that are easy to maintain but I still have to do frequent large water changes with a large jag, festae and two royal plecos. Next big tank I get I'm definitely going with an oversized wet dry.
