Cichlids are territorial and aggressive. As are wolf fish. If you continue to place them to together it can lead to fighting and death. Wolves have better mouth weaponry. Wolf should be housed separately.

The red wolf is too small to be placed with any Oscar or cichlid. It'll stay hidden or get abused by the other fish you have. Not really grow. Red wolf should be housed separately and not with ur common wolf.

Cichlids and bichirs can be questionable. Due to the agressive of cichlids. Just gotta watch.

If you have paired fish (cichlids) then they may not tolerate tanmates. Plus you'll need bigger tanks.

Good luck.

Red wolf stay way smaller right? I don't think the stocking is terrible. The problem with the wolf fish in the 125 is that they get really big, too big for a 125.
Red wolf will stay small at about 8 inches. A common wolf is fine in a 125gallon but the combo with cichlids is the issue.

Understood. Thanks for the info I wasn't aware that there was trouble keeping them with cichlids.

Here is a Jag and a wolf same in same tank (Video is not mine).
*I believed the owner separated them after witnessed the fight (also tank too small even for either fish). Cichlid and Wolf never get along well unless you have extreme huge tank so each can have their own territory and never enter the other own space.
Well, the video can't play here. You can watch it on youtube if you want.

I was just wondering if the bichir and wolf are hiding from my cuban and jaguar pair there's no aggressive behavior Yet was hoping for the wolf to grow with them and give him places to hide and they might get along
My other tank with Oscar and black Diamond the polleni attacks the much bigger oscar all day but leaves smaller fish alone they have a red wolf in with them as soon as he comes out of hiding he's going back to store

Probably staying away from the Cuban and jag. Will try to avoid any larger predato fish in general. Just cause they aren't fighting doesn't mean there isn't a problem. Stress can lead to not eating and hiding all day.
