So my best friend has a 75g at his Dad's house and he's breaking it down soon and the only fish left is a local stream catfish which looks like a juvenile Flathead, however it is well over 6-7 years old and a mere 6" so I figure it must be some type of Madtom or Stonecat, as I believe any Bullhead would be full-grown at 12-15" by 6 years (especially kept in a heated tank for tropicals). Also there is mottling that resembled a juvie Flathead so Bullheads are out of the question.

Any ideas what it could be, taken locally from a SE Pennsylvania trout stream?

Tadpole madtom?
would need pic bullheads can be molted
flathead would be pretty obvious going by head shape. on madtoms adipose fin is completely fused to body where most others have a separation
I can't seem to upload pictures as of the past few days which is a big shame cuz I just got some GOD-LIKE shots of my Jaguars but as soon as I figure out (and MFK Staff) wth is going on, I will post pics of it. In the meantime, I will be playing my own guessing game lol
