yea, my lighting was horrible until recently, s my pix sucked before but now its getting better....its depends on the color bulb I have in. As far as bigger tanks, yes I got the 125g, 2 weeks ago, and a 2nd 75g is on its way for free, but for next year I will be selling my fish and fry to a LFS for store credit , and just never spend it unti I have enough ofr the 265g, 7 footer or larger. Thanx for the compliments. It's been a year since I got back into the hobby but nowadays I feel like I never quit and better than beforeI got to page 12 and your pics were hurting my eyes. I was literally getting the same feeling I had when I tried to watch the Blair Witch Project in the Theatre, sitting in the front row because we got there late...
Anyhow, jump ahead to the end and I can safely say that your photography skills have improved. I'm not sure when it happened, somewhere between page 13 and 24 presumably!
Anyhow, you won't catch me posting pics here because my photography skills are worse than yours.
Lastly, you have some nice fish! Did the big tanks ever arrive?
yes, I want an 8ft tank above all but again, hard to findI think I may be trying to get one of those 7 foot 265g's as well... I'd really like an 8 footer but they are hard to come by - basically custom order or DIY... I would love to DIY an 8 foot tank but if I am being honest with myself I simply don't have the time...
Dude, don't put a Salvini in a 5g, are you crazy? Move the Danios, not the Salvini. What were you THINKING?Your cichlids are looking good
If my Danio eggs are duds then my little salvini is going to the 5 gal, he/she is a little psychopath at night, the poor danios. The butterfly fish tries to eat them (and has got 2) and the cichlid is nailing their fins. the platies are taking hits as well. I may need to get a larger cichlid to keep the peace in the 70 if the salvini keeps like this.
I actually moved him to the 5 gallon now, RIP danio eggs. The thing is a little psycopath, almost killing a danio whilst i was typing a message
Im doing that later (its 1AM)yes, I want an 8ft tank above all but again, hard to find

Well, nvm for nw, don't move them AGAIN, but in a week put him back. Cichlids come first when you are a cichlid-keeper, dithers are commensals. Prioritize, Bro. A Salvini in a 5g is gonna get real nasty real quick. Space keeps aggressive cichlids from becoming savages. That Salvini is gonna start acting like a caged Tiger if you keep it in a 5g.
You're screwing up, Hendre. The Salvini needs the space. Give him the 70g and whatever else he wants. The rest of those fish will be fine in a 15g but a Salvini will notIm doing that later (its 1AM)
Its just to keep the danios and betta in one piece temporarily. Its much easier to catch a cichlid with a danio in its jaws than 3 danios under siege.
Im gonna keep only the salvini and butterfly in the 15 after that
It is 2". I want to grow it out a little so it won't get mauled by the pink tail or harassed by the knives thats all. Its also the fact that he is super skittish and im not sure how he would fare in a large tank with a large knife that doesn't like sharing his spaces. You're screwing up, Hendre. if aggression is your concern, putting a Salvini in a 5g will only make it worse. Give it space and maybe it will calm downIt is 2". If he stays like this and beats my knives he is gone, i knew salvinis could be aggressive but whoah. I need to rethink it all a bit
