is food coloring safe for fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Back in the 90's there was some Ich treatment that was blue and once you dropped it in, it would turn the water blue(stain the silicon some too). I would have to say yes to some degree but I would advise against going out and buying any over the counter stuff without making sure it is safe for the fish.
that's methylene blue, but it will kill beneficial bacteria tho.

I'm more curious why you want to see the flow.

i don't have any plants on my tank and tried putting flakes but fishes would just devour them quickly.
ping pong ball? unless the fish could eat that too

Ingredients are 1) water, 2) phosphoric acid 3) sodium benzoate. Phosphoric acid may raise your phosphates a little, sodium benzoate is toxic but deemed safe for human consumption in small amounts. I would say food coloring is safe to add. Do a water change afterwards to remove it
