lol, I guess the only way to really tell for sure about this whole red substrate thing is for you to send me your ansorgii and I can see how they look on my substrate for comparison. Of course they need some weeks maybe months to settle in before I can send the pictures...I cant really tell,

I don't think the pattern being more distinct is entirely due to the red substrate! But both fish seem to have the same boldness in terms of markings.No way, yours 'pop' on that red.

That's what made me want an ansorgii. Definitely looks great on the red!I love the pattern the ansorgii show on that red. Very tempted to change my substrate when I see your ansorgii 'pop' like that.
