So it's been a minute since I've added any new fish to my tank with consists of mostly wild caught Geo's and Severums. I'm currently thinking adding a group of 6 Geo Brasilenis, 4 Red Head Geo's, 3 Aequiden Diadema, 4 Biotodoma Cupido and finally 4 Pterophlyyum Scalare.

I do plan to select the best looking fish to keep in my tank once they have grown out as most of the fish I'm purchasing are under 4 inches at the moment and the majority of my fish I current have are no bigger than 5 inches. My question is I have heard Sev's and Angels don't do well together. I'm hoping to get some advice from someone that has kept Angels with cichlids and what I can expect.

Do you know what type of Severums? I've kept Rotkiels that got along fine with everything, including plants!

I would not do Geophagus brasiliensis w/ any other Geo or Gymnogeo. They can be a VERY aggressive fish, especially the males and as soon as they pair up they will go bonkers. Mine try to attack me through the glass when I approach the fry tank and the male even attacks the magnetic algae-scraper. Stick w/ other Geophagus instead if you are trying to keep a semi-peaceful tank - they will kill everything you have in that tank, and Angelfish won't stand a chance. IF you manage to keep to peaceful fish, Angels might work, but I wouldn't count on it

Your tank sounds awesome by the way, can you post some pics?

Do you know what species of wild caught Geos & Severums you have currently?

A group of Altum Angels would be awesome. I think they do fine with Geophagus Winemilleri and Rotkiels. I've heard that the Brasiliensis are unlike every other geo in terms of their behaviour.

I have always heard quite the opposite. My angels of all sizes get along with my Heros of all types and sizes.
Read a few threads online and wanted to check with the most trusted site in the fish keeping game for verification.

Here's a link to one of my older threads with some pictures of the tank, I no longer have the wild Oscars had to get rid of them

I kept my angels with my notatus and rotkeils and some true parrots. They got along fine but eventually I got rid of the angelfish bc I wanted to make space for my cichlids.
