I agree with brasiliensis not working.they were ok in my 90 SA community till about 4-5 inches.then were picking fights.I had to re-home both
I was thinking some True Parrots but I heard they can be pretty rough with Geo'sI kept my angels with my notatus and rotkeils and some true parrots. They got along fine but eventually I got rid of the angelfish bc I wanted to make space for my cichlids.
Yeah as much as I like them I'm going to pass on them trying to keep things peacefulI agree with brasiliensis not working.they were ok in my 90 SA community till about 4-5 inches.then were picking fights.I had to re-home both
My parrots just fight amongst themselves !! The heros are the fiesty of the bunch, I'm going to add a group of 3-4 keyhole to my communityI was thinking some True Parrots but I heard they can be pretty rough with Geo's
I had been thinking Keyhole or Cupid CichlidsMy parrots just fight amongst themselves !! The heros are the fiesty of the bunch, I'm going to add a group of 3-4 keyhole to my community
I really like how the keyholes look in a group n they don't grow so bigI had been thinking Keyhole or Cupid Cichlids
I agree, of all the fish I can think of they resemble closest it would have to be Andinoacara or Aquidens.I agree with Frank, Geo braziliensus is a very different and aggressive species of Geo.
They come from southern Brazil where water is cooler and much harder, and alkaline.
To me they don't belong in the same tank with the more northerly Geophagines.
Mine spawned in 68'F water, and when water temps were higher became very aggressive.
There has been a suggestion that they don't actually belong in the genus Geophagus at all.
