Nice updates. We should habe followed the same format for all the entries. Maybe we can be given access to edit prior posts

I dont know if its just me but to me even though their are small differences between the guinea endlis (dabola and faranah) they are minute. Biggest difference i notice is with the black volta vs guinea but still not major.

I feel like their physical differences between the laps are more apparent nigerian/faranah along with koloron and koliba if they do prove to be laps

I agree, they are pretty close and when they decide to color change its really hard to tell.

Examples
J jaws7777 and his Faranah endli

DMD123 DMD123 and his Dabola endli

Pretty close in color and look

How about these?

J jaws7777 Faranah

DMD123 DMD123 Dabola

In this case my lighting is set brighter but they do look pretty similar. If I turned down the brightness they would look pretty close in color.

Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 love the format and pics for this. Although I still can't ID lower jaws with catch locations, I think this format will help other people too. This was very clear with the descriptions and loved how the pics were in the same pose with headshot followed by body shot. That way it makes comparisons easier. Great job! :)

Really hard to tell the difference till you have both in the same tank, they are the same fish just different catch location and small difference in look. What i notice between the two is thicknest of the mouth and jaw, dabola endlicheri have a thicker mouth compared to faranah endlicheri is more flat.

A difference too is that mine is a large adult so it has some size and weight that make it look slightly different. I have pics as a younger poly that really make head and mouth hard to tell.

Another example of jaw/head shapes

J jaws7777 Faranah again

DMD123 DMD123 young Dabola

As a young poly the Dabola had a real flat headshape and jaw not so thick looking.

Really hard to tell as younger polys unless like Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 said they are side by side in the same tank.

Perfect examples man. Agree, its hard to say x endli will always have x trait. My dabola like yours had a thicker/blockier head where the tha faranah is flatter spoonish. Havent notice the head shale change much as its grown still flat

Im curious to see what everyone thinks of the lapa
