My two subdominant GT from that batch are doing the same thing. Lost color in tail band. They were under a lot of stress from the dominant male though. I've seen this with juveniles many times in the past where they go through some sort of transition Stanzzzz7 Stanzzzz7 can you tell here m / f? I'm not a great judge but looks male to me
Looks a lot more pointy than my other one that I believed was female so I'm hoping it's male but we'll see ima water change today and post video tonight

I've been saying female all along but looking at that tube it looks male.
I'm going to back track on this one and say male.
Female tube would be fatter and blunt.

This one is a different fish lol, the other one for sure was female but I got rid of it and this is a new one I got hoping it was male, this vent looks more pointy as well
Any thought at why the tail band faded ?

I'm not entirely sure to be honest. If I were to guess I would say it's a confidence /dominance thing.
Could be a change in water chemistry. If I'm honest I don't really know for sure.
This has never happened to any of the Rivs I have kept.

Thanks for the input, I think you are right bc I raised my temp to 80 bc I was treating for internal parasites, and before I kept it at like 76-77
