Argh! I hate aggression. Hopefully it will all settle down. The PBB screwed it all up. Kinda goes to show that sometimes the answer isn't always to just "add more polys." Sometimes there's just a jerk fish, and unless you have the right combo of others with it, it might have to live a solo life. Not many people have enough polys and tanks to figure all of that out.
Once everything settles from the poly shuffle scuffles are you going to try Kruger back in the big tank one more time to see what happens?
Yeah me to. Occasional fin nipping is normal and i think with low numbers adding can help but not with this guy. I agree with you though at some point enough is enough cant keep adding polys, its not always the cure all.
Im hoping i can work the hellraiser back into the poly comm becauae it looks like it will settle into being a really good looking poly.
Right now im doubtful it will work out. Hes similar to the aggression i had with the dabola endli. Very territorial. I would say at this point hes worse. The endli was a s.o.b to all polys but never messed with other fish. This guy even bit hulk.
I thought i saw him snap at him out of the corner of my eye but wasnt sure so i dropped some pellets right infornt of the pbb and hulk didnt immediately go for them so i knew something was up. Eventually he did and sure enough little pbb bit him. Im not too worried about these two as the cichlid will and has been avoiding the pbb's little corner but i assume since the polys have bad vision or dont mind getting attacked they dont honor territories as well.
I'll see how it goes but wont be introducing him bacl to the 300 for some time. Total pain in the ass
