Im gonna dig up some of the threads i had going when i was dealing with this crap maybe some of the info rd and rocksor added will be helpful

Callumanus deserves a thread of its own in the health section. Tag us so we can follow along but there soo many diff bugs that we want to be sure that its callumanus and treat it accordingly.

They could very well have hitched a rife on the marino balls

I dealt with these worms a couple of years ago and it was a real pain. Flubendazole didnt do much but yhe lev knocked it out.

I used this

thank you, I really appreciate you doing that. Will start one now.

Tried getting a video of them, but they are rather small, so my phone camera doesn't focus on them well.I will not be pleased if petco gave my fish anus worms lol.

I don't know anything about these worms but did a Google search and it mentions specifically being able to see them out of a fishes anus. Look at everyone's butts really closely, including the Danios.

I agree with jaws that it might be good to get a whole bunch of people weighing in on this with experience in it. Getting a thread going in the health section is a good idea.

Were the moss balls in a tank with fish in it? Have you shared anything between the two tanks like nets or anything? I wonder if the parrots had them? Maybe that's why they were acting so weird.

I could be wrong but i dont think callumanus are free floating like that. Im gonna try and find those older threads should shed some light but i rather see this in the health section so she doesnt waste money on meds that arent gonna do squat.

From what i remember they latch onto the intestines and will protrude out of the fish. You'll also see decaying tissue as well. Chewy had it and it was a freakin nightmare smh

checked everyone's bums. Didn't see any worms coming out of them.

The moss balls weren't in a tank with fish. They were in one of those betta cups with just 3 moss balls( no betta).

Believe it or not, I am 95% sure I haven't shared anything between the two tanks. The only thing I can think of is maybe using a bucket for the old 55g water. and then rinsing it, and later using it for poly water. Not sure if I did that though. Tried to keep everything separate this time.
