The aro, if it's properly fed, will grow 2 inches per month for many more months. Imo, it really needs to be out of that tank into a bigger one within a few months. Crowded conditions are the fore runner of disease outbreaks, random violence, etc. Thanks for all of your replies. I understand the tank may become crowded.
There are people out there that actually research fish before cramming them into tiny tanks. There are also people with huge aquariums that can house them properly. If it is harder to rehome when thy are giant why should i sell it on to someone when theyre probably going to buy it and sell it on if it is that much of a problem they should not be a available. Nose to tip of tail fin. Thanks for all of your advice
I agree, they shouldn't be as readily available as they are. The pet store industry is a business, and many stores care more about the bottom line than they do about the individual fish. People see a pretty looking fish and grab it up without bothering to inform themselves about how to care for it, and Arowanas have a huge profit margin because they are cheap from distributors, yet can be marked up quite high and still sell.If it is harder to rehome when thy are giant why should i sell it on to someone when theyre probably going to buy it and sell it on if it is that much of a problem they should not be a available.
