One more try - Another Amaira

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Gorgeous specimen, and that is excellent growth after being through what it has gone through if you ask me :)

Have you tried rubbing or soaking the carni sticks in his favorite food juices that he used to take well?

Heartfelt congratulations! Hope the baby and the mother are well.

peter predtank peter predtank he did not. This guys is more interactive than my last aimara with feeding but less aggressive. However I think the other one was slightly bigger when the aggression came out. If my hand was in the tank he'd attack.

thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter all is well thank you. Just finished moving today. I don't recommend closing on two homes and moving with a 2 week old baby. We are exhausted.

moe214 moe214 i do like his coloration but he's scars are very large. Now that he's back in the 40g I will give him stressguard and see if it helps. Hoping to get my autodrip installed in the next 2-3 weeks and then this guy is going to have pristine water.

This guy really doesn't like the 40g. Heard him hit the glass canopy several times already. I've placed a ton of stuff to weigh it down.

Hopefully I can drill the 180g this week and get it back up and running.

Might wanna check for any electrical surges

I gave mine a hide . like a cave or tube that they can actully go inside . calms mine down pretty good . i sorta think of it like with reptiles and snakes a hide makes them feel more comfortable . could be especialy helpful in the short time while you have to keep him in a smaller tank

Got the tank in the space and drilled. Will add fluorite and complete auto drip over the next week and then get the aimara in the tank. This is the spot for future tank. Will have to be 8x3 unless I can convince the wife to let me do 8x4. I'm sure 8x3 will last 6-7 years so it's a long term problem.
