I love clown loach, which i have. I love datnoids, which i can't have. But my dream tank would be a huge native cold water predator set up with a couple of northern pike, and a large shoal of european perch. I'd also put in a huge shoal of minnows with maybe gudgeon and roach.....and enjoy.

Isla Taboga Panama via Milwaukee
Iranocichla hormuzensus
Nandopsis ramsdeni
Heterochromis multidens
Teleogramma depressum, or brichardi
I don't expect I will ever come across these where I am now.
My next choices may be possible though, if I catch them myself
Tomocichla tuba, and asfraci (Have had both in the past)

any of the Cribroheros from this area
As to salt water species, no need, they are all just a snorkel away, and occasionally for lunch.

i would love to have a large tank with a pair of lenticulata and a zebra shovelnose cat. also one with a dovii pair.

also a southeast asia/australian theme tank with dats, jardini, and maybe a giant gourami.

starting work on a couple of plywood tanks 350 and 450 gallons to hopefully make these dreams a reality by sometime next year.
