Even on here I see people say they have Pure Midas or Pure Red Devils but then they say they got them from Petsmart or Petco.

Now, I don’t want to come off insulting. So I want to state there is nothing wrong with a Midevil. They are great fish and who doesn’t love their personality. I simply wanted to show a good example of why we blanket label all of them that we don’t know the parentage of.

But this fish would fool me, I would like to think it would fool a lot of people. I had a gentleman tell me to my face that this was a Midas, when in fact I know the parents it came from, because I have seen them in person.

This is a Flowerhorn x Midevil

I hope this tread helps some people understand why it’s hard to tell them apart. When they are asking if the fish they received is a Midas or Red devil, etc.
