I think the Pence thing was staged. He knew the 49ners were going to kneel before going to the game.

Hah!...Rumor has it that Kaprnik says he will behave and stand for the anthem if a team brings him on.If true I wonder what all of his peers who backed him thinks if him now?

Hello; money trumps principle???

Hello; Not sure why you are upset with Vice President Pence. (That is if you are upset in some way.) Best I recall he has been clear about his feelings surrounding the disrespect of the flag ceremony.
I figure we can agree that the kneeling players are in a way staging their actions to push an agenda.
I figure also that some players would tale a knee was anticipated. In that sense I get what you mean. The VP likely knew a protest was possible and may have decided to leave if the players actually took the knee before the flag. That I happen to be on the VP's side in this shows my bias.
It is no small thing for the VP of the United States of America to walk out of an event.

Back when I was in the BSA (Boy Scouts of America) there were formal flag ceremonies. I was impressed by these ceremonies to the point I believe such is not the place or time for a protest. To put it another way I see any protest during the flag ceremony as a protest against the flag.

Someone wants to be employed.

Jerry Jones is vowing Dallas will stand

"But there is no question in my mind that the National Football League and the Dallas Cowboys are going to stand up for the flag. Just so we’re clear.”

I don't see how he can say NFL (cus they are not)

Here's the NFL game operations manual

“The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”
