Its actually tougher to make it to the dallas cheerleaders squad than it is to make a spot on the dallas cowboys roster.
Apparently the team has extremely high standards for it's cowgirls.
Hey atleast we arent the giants lol

I believe it. They are playing crappy this year.
Love jerry as an owner but until he gets a legit gm we'll be a mediocre team at best. More and more his idiotic draft picks are haunting us. Instead of adding to our strength (o-line) he wastes high draft pics on positions we didnt need.

Read an interesting stat. Our o line ranks almost dead last in running back yards before contact.

Hello; The football flag protests have been framed as free speech expression by some. I do not think so. My example is this very forum. Here we cannot write anything we wish, nor can we write about some topics.
The mods can ban us for breaking forum rules. Can delete posts and so on.

I agree, no one paying me to be here, quite the contrary. The players need to keep the protest off the field and on there own time. The ideal that I and advertisers have to pay to watch them protest is ludicrous.

Hello; The point I am making is that this forum is a private site and can make rules that govern how you and I express ourselves. We are not to discuss religion for an example. The mods get to censor that speech and other speech including vulgar speech.
This notion that freedom of speech includes the opportunity to protest any place and any time is not correct. The players and you and I have a freedom of expression guaranteed by the constitution but not on private property. I can have you removed from my front yard even if you are there to express and use the right to free speech.

Perhaps the word "free" is the sticking point. My take is that it means we are able express any thoughts we happen to believe "freely. No restrictions on what we chose to say. That sort of "free" speech. Not freedom to be able to hold forth any place we want.

This forum can and does restrict our speech and in doing so our ability to protest, praise or otherwise make written expression, but only on the private site.
There are places where each of us can and many do use the 1st amendment to it's full extent. Those places do not include my yard, this forum and a football stadium. That the NFL is allowing these protests to continue is within the bounds as a business decision, but I do not have to watch the games nor do I have to buy the products advertised during a game.

Another way to consider the situation that I heard on TV this morning. There can be as many as 90,000 fans standing at attention with hand over heart during the anthem and the presentation of the flag. While on the playing field some players are on a knee. My guess being this is a bad way to run a business and also the cause of the players is being harmed.

I was in the local Wal-Mart today. Saw a man wearing a t-shirt stating " I stand for the anthem". I like it and the local veterans club is selling them. I hope to get one.

Hello; One more try at the main point. Say back when I was a teacher in public schools I had a cause very important to me. Maybe like the member Puffer Corp has a crusade.
So instead of getting on with my teaching I started each class with a speech on something such as never release an aquarium fish into the wild. Say I did this at the start of each class in a manner that is offensive to the larger portion of students. Any guesses as to how long I will be able to continue?

Near as I can tell the brass at the NFL have the rules for the flag ceremony in place as far as what is expected during the ceremony. They are apparently using the "may" word as a way to avoid enforcing the punishments for players violating the written rules. The larger "bad" in this whole mess falls onto the kneeling players but the NFL gets a big share for allowing this form of protest to continue.

I get that for some ball fans these things do not matter and you will not give up football. I had some hope the league bosses were to make things right for tomorrow (Sunday). The latest news report appears to dash those hopes.

I have two teams who are standing on my list so far. the cowboys and the colts. Are there any others?

U should add the dolphins.

Listen what we want to happe and should happen are two different things or the same depending on where u stand on the subject.

Of coure i would have loved for them to do somethings swiftly but many of their rules are collectively bargained i felt the owners were in a tough spot and deing with something unprecedented. I feel like once they change the verbiage to the existing rules. We will see big changes.

Keep in mind their are lots of crappy qbs playing today i have no doubts that kap is being held accountable for his actions, rightfully so. Im sure that these owners werent even sure if it was legal to proceed how they wanted

As far as boycotting football to each his own. But im sure the nfl will fix this fiasco. How many people boycotted baseball in the steriod era ? How many of us continued to root for great players that were on our teams that were junkies and low lives even accused of rape....we have one guy who outright punched his wife in the face...owners chose never to hire him again...same with kap. But what do we really expect them to do ? Not play their entire offensive line ? Im sure that would end up in court. Now theu change the rules...its open season you kneel you CHOOSE not to play....hopefully
