Noticed my larger twisted/crooked spine weather loach had a torn up top fin and its back fin too. The top fin also had a pale area around it lacking in coloration.
It's hiding rn so I'll try to get photos later as I don't want to stress it out. Is it heater burn? Or something to do with its crooked spine? This guy is always active swimming up and down the glass and darting around the tank, still eats just got a pale area of discoloration around top fin and shredded fins.
No aggressive tankmates really:
Old Blood parrot (ignores everything)
Smaller weather loach, they school its chill
Black neon tetras
Emperor tetra
Black Skirt tetras (maybe they mean to each other but mainly each other with nipping)
Red minor tetras
Angelfish
Cory cats
Half Banded Spiny eel (baby less than 3 inches)

I'm guessing an attack vs heater burn. Put it in hospital tank ASAP. How is the water? Are other fish acting normally?
Thanks for the feedback but sadly it passed away. All the other fish behave the same including the smaller weather loach. No fish in the tank that I can think of are aggressive.
I’ve got:
x1 Parrot Fish (6”)
x2 Angelfish (3”)
x7 Black skirt tetras (these guys are mean to each other but none of the other tetra species in here so idk)
x2 Red minor tetras (getting more)
x4 black neon tetra
x1 emperor tetra (sold as black neon)
x6 assorted Cory catfish
x1 half banded spiny eel (2.5”)
x1 albino bristle nose catfish (1”)
And now 1 weather loach :(

Here are post mortem photos

Sorry for your loss, man. :( That's a good spread of fish species... What is the tank size?
60 gal long at the moment with a 55 canister filter and a 55 in tank fluval filter along with a power head for flow on the bottom, had a rescue arowana in a 150 but it was pushing 3 feet so I re-homed it to a nice pond where it apparently last I heard ate a water moccasin so if tanks overstocked I can just transfer over.

Dang that aro doesn’t mess around LOL. Sorry again about the loach, bro. They’re such cool fish.
Yeah the aro doesn't mess around, and thanks man probably due to it's twisted spine but it lived a good life, better than at petland. Plan on restocking the herd as my one weather is now alone but they are hard to find in my area, you think other loach species take well like smaller cousins dojo and khuli?
