I think like you do that they are fussy on water quality.
I increased aeration, finally cleaned my filters and it seems like it got them going again. I also started to increase pellets in their feedings and I'm happy with how things are now

yes that would be a big maybe, as i changed several things around to get things going again. Main thing is it is eating again and putting in some size!
