Stocking opinions please...

Hi!

I am thinking about stocking options for my 210 which will house polypterus. I was going to put in 4 american cichlids (JD, severum, firemouth and EB acara) but decided I just want to just have 4-6 oddballs in addition to the polys. The small albino sen will also go with the cichlids in a 125.

The tank is 72" x 24" x 30". Filtration is sump + FX6.

The following are going into the tank:

Polys
13" Lap Koloton
12" Endli BV
12" Ornate
12" Lap Nigerian
11" Lap Faranah
8" Weeksii

Other
7" E. erythrinus
9" D. microlepis
8" Fire eel

Want to add 1-3 of the following:
Pink or red tail chalceus
Water cow or sleeper goby (saw one online 15")
Gymnotus tigre
12" Endli from Wet Spot

What do you think of this? Suggestions and comments would be welcome! Thank you!

I'd be careful with adding a goby to the mix. May end up putting a poly in its mouth.

Dang... is it due to the size? If I get one that's maybe 7-10" would it be less risky?

LOL thanks man. Was just looking at the knife on Aquascape and it's now GONE ... actually not sure if it was ever available.

Your Dat should fill in and occupy the upper area of the tank pretty nicely.

Not sure if your into catfish but local to us is a guy on craigslist selling a 10" and 12" vulture cat. I think he is in Olympia area asking $125 each.

Would a brown knife (Xenomystus nigri) work? What about a mormyrid

DMD123 Good to hear from you! Thank you for the suggestion. I've thought about the mid size pim cats, and the vulture cat is really attractive. Do you think one will outcompete the polys for food?
