Head patterns of a lap and strong body markings of an endli. Beautiful piece.
Before when I first got it
Do you have the polyaddicts nigerian endli ? Iost track of it. Can you pist pics if its in your possession.

It's hard to say. I've only kept 2 Nigerian Endli. TBH they don't look too different. This current Nigerian endli reminds me of my 1st Guinean endli.

All the talk about SP.s reminded me about this thread.
All things being equal (mainly availability) I would still say koloton/koliba are one of best looking sps even though we refer to them as laps still really an sp. Until they get described. I still take them over pbb any day of the week.
I'm on the fence if koloton and koliba have enough differences between each other to warrant owning both.
When looking at DMD123 current koliba I say yes but then looking at Troy1015 Im not sure.

to me worth having both but then again the risk in ordering you may get what you already have since seems to be a bit hit and miss lately. But IMO my koliba is much more green, has a longer body, seems to be growing much faster then my koloton. My koloton is like a bulldog just getting thicker not much on the length. Plus more poly the merrier. I think if you saw mine in person you would see the subtle differences i think

has noticed the diffferences in mine the few times he has stopped by. My camera is old and sucks so hard to capture it very well.
what I can tell you is my koloton has the same head shape as yours, and similar color. My koliba has a diffferent head shape and much darker colors than my koloton and i would ssay much darker green than yours as well. I say get it.

I think they are different from each other, koloton being in the golden/yellow green side color while koliba is on the greener color, i never own a koliba but ive seen many picture of with with a messy pattern toward the mid section of its body toward the tail, while a koloton have a really neat organize marking.
But like mentioned above ordering might be a hit or miss thing, i was trying to get a koliba before and the seller keeps on telling me that they are the same fish.

I have not used the magic red garnet to get that total pop so I think the patterns and colors show as faded but here are the Koliba Ive had.
#1 came from Aquatic Day Care. (jumper

This one was in a QT tank still and showed a lot of potential with nice olive green showing and tall finlets. While the sand looks like the same as the one in in pics of koliba #2, it was in fact very light in comparison. This is a pic of the fish like 2nd day out of the shipping bag. If it did not jump I think I would have had quite the looker.

This one always shows more grey and has short stubby finlets. While the pattern has always been distinct on it with a nice contrast it has never had that olive green color expected of a koliba.
