Hello, 2 weeks ago, I have got a Blue Malau FH, about 10cm ish.
It is currently living with an 18~20cm long Bichir Senegal.
The FH showed some aggression towards the Bichir at the start but getting less and less.

I am feeding Hikari Cichlid gold and recently feeding some Grand Sumo Red as well.
I am feeding 10~15 pellet around 8am, 8~10 pellets around 2pm and 10~15 pellets around 8pm every day plus 2-3 freeze dried baby shrimp from tetra twice or three times a week. (Somehow the FH hates frozen foods, never tried raw).

However, my FH keeps on stealing Bichir's Hikari Sinking Carnivore pallets. Sometimes the FH eats than spits the food into pieces continuously and sometimes the FH just eats it.
I have tried to Feed Bichir's food first and lure my FH with its food, however, the Bichir takes soooo longer to finish its food successfully before I finish feeding my FH.

So I was wondering if continuous feeding of Bichir's food will harm the FH and whether I am feeding too less for my FH.

Also, Is there any recommendation for FH food for blue shiny colouration as mine isn't a red based FH (I have ordered XO Starry and Humpy Head).

Additionally,
If I am planning to add in 3-4 Electric blue jack dempsey with a separation for breeding (Only if my FH is Female), would a 1000L tank be enough or would be better to get a 1500-2000L tank?

Cheers

p.s. Photo of my beautiful Babes :):):)

From my experience Malaus are very aggressive. I would keep it by it self. Diet I would use regular GS or try Northfin pellets. I'm having good results with the arrowana sticks.

Thanks for your personal advice.
I might try using Northfin Pellets after I finish my Grand Sumo :D

I am currently feeding 20 medium pallet in the morning, 15 medium pallet for lunch and 20 medium pallet for dinner (Hikari gold and Grand Sumo Red).
Would this be enough or even more would be ok?
i think that's too much for a 10cm fish. i feed mine until their bellies a bit bulged. overfeeding can be bad for its health. my 3 inch i would only feed about 6pellets at a time, 2 times a day.

Oh Really??
Is it better to decrease the meal size? I have been feeding like that for 3 weeks.
Every feeding stuffs say feed amount that it will eat in 3 min but mine will eat the whole packet in 3 min...lolol
I fed 10/5/10 at start but it went super aggressive towards bichirs food as well stealing everything. Now its not showing any interest at all.
Is there any way I can see if I am overfeeding like larger belly and other sources??

usually it depends on its size. smaller ones eats a lot but digest and poops faster. bigger ones can be given more food but give it some time to digest the foods. or else they might get constipation and some other digestion problems.
